365 Days of Juice

Welcome to day 26, being Australia Day here, so in the spirit of that I am having.


” Fresh watermelon juice ”

  • 1/2 (about 2.2kg) seedless watermelon, peeled, coarsely chopped
  • 2 tsp finely grated ginger
  • 2 tbs lemon juice
  • Mint leaves, to serve
  • Ice cubes, to serve



  1. Place watermelon, ginger and lemon juice in the jug of a blender and blend until smooth. Add sugar, if desired
  2. Strain through a fine sieve into a serving jug.
  3. Add mint and ice cubes and stir to combine.
  4. Serve immediately

Day 25 of juices, soothing drinks for healthy sleep.

” Hot Cinnamon ”


1 3/4 in / 2 cm long piece of cinnamon ( or 1 teaspoon ground )

8 fl oz / 200 ml rice milk

1 teaspoon honey


Place the cinnamon and rice milk in a small saucepan.

Bring to boil.

Simmer for a couple of minutes.

Pour into a mug and add honey.

Drink immediately.


Benefits : A warming and soothing bedtime drink which also aids digestion.
